Sarah and Stephen Cooper (1st to 8th October 2022)
"
A fantastic return visit to your lovely cottage. A rather autumnal blustery week of weather which mean lots of windy walks with rainbows and the added drama of thunder and lightening and a power cut! ...Had a trip to Ullapool and ate at the Seafood Shack which was lovely. Had a fantastic walk up Sgurr an Fhidhleir - very windy at the top - and those views...!! Thank you for a lovely holiday once again."

Al and Rosie Punt (27th August - 3rd September 2022)
"
Lovely week, fine weather, no rain. Pretty chilled...gentle days of walking Mr D on the beach. See you next year."

The Souter Family (6th - 20th August 2022)
"We fished for mackerel, trout, coli and pollack. We had a very successful day near to Ledmore junction on the fly catching 15 trout! The scenery is simply fantastic."

The Jameson Family (30th July - 6th August 2022)
"
Second time here and the cottage is fabulous! Well appointed and comfortable, thank you. Have had another fabulous week in this beautiful part of Scotland, so peaceful, so unspoilt! Our idea of bliss! Weather has been busy...outdoors every day...we have seen so many birds and wild flowers, and lots of deer. Will definitely come back!"

The Talbot Family (16th - 30th July 2022)
"
Our third holiday at this wonderful cottage and we have already booked for next year. Views are fantastic and the local walks excellent. We have seen dolphins, seals and deer and (possibly) a golden eagle. The weather has varied from cool enough for the log burner (very cosy) to warm enough to swim and go paddle boarding. All in all a very relaxing break. Can't wait to return."

Anke and Lisa Fley (2nd - 9th July 2022)
"
We had a great week enjoying the view, the landscape and the wildlife. An amazing place to recharge the batteries.."

Jan Ashdown (25th June - 2nd July 2022)
"
A Perfect week in every respect."

Helen and Rob Brunswick (18th - 25th June 2022)
"
Fortunately the weather forecasters got it wrong, and despite arriving in gales, we managed to sea kayak round the isles over several days. Highlights included a pair of puffins off Tanera Beat, ptarmigan on Stac Pollaidh and catching 5lb cod off Horse Island north isle. We leave with happy memories and batteries fully charged."

The Peals (4th - 11th June 2022)
"
Our third year to Diabaig but countless to the area which seems to be more beautiful every year. The weather this time has been fantastic. The pup and I went on the Culnacraig coastal walk which was interesting! Stretches of good coastal paths interspersed with relentless rock scrambling. If this is part of the postman walk he must have been pretty fit! Enjoy this wonderful place - it restores the soul!"

Wim and Gerda van Dijk (7th - 14th May 2022)
"
We had a lovely week at Diabaig. We had different walks and saw some seals....it was a lovely week in which we've been exploring another piece of our earth"

Alastair and Sandy Lee (30th April - 7th May 2022)
"
What a fantastic break in a stunning location. First time back in the Highlands in over 40 years and boy what have I been missing! It won't be that long before we return. A constantly changing vista - glorious sunshine, brooding cloudscapes, mist pouring off the mountain tops, lashing rain and the soothing sights and sounds of the sea. Some great walks especially Stac Pollaidh and so much wildlife - a treat watching a pair of otters feeding around the cliffs near Achnahaird, seals basking on the rocks, an early morning alarm call from a stag in the garden and almost 40 different birds spotted. A week is way too short in this gorgeous spot."

The Davidson Family (16th - 23rd April 2022)
"
Booked this lovely house for a week to celebrate my parents' 40th wedding anniversary, certainly did not disappoint. Amazing views for a relaxing week with some awesome sunsets. Beautiful house, very homely and comfortable. Couldn't have asked for a better setting to spend a week with family."

The Miller Family (9th to 16th April 2022)
"
After having cancelled twice due to Covid, we made it back! It has been worth the wait. The cottage is lovely and so comfortable with amazing views. We have been lucky with the weather and enjoyed trips to the beaches and a few hills. Lovely to eat out at Fuaran Bar and the Summer Isles Hotel. We have had a lovely relaxing week"

Ian and Jane Diack (19th - 26th March 2022)
"
What a beautiful home! So comfortable and relaxing. A lovely time of year to visit one of our favourite parts of Scotland...most days we had wall to wall sunshine which only enhanced the beauty of this place. We have walked, cycled, climbed (at Reiff) and walked up Stac Pollaidh, Breabag, Cul Beat and enjoyed part of the Postie's walk. We've enjoyed sitting on the terrace watching and listening to the birds - it's so quiet here, very restful."

Sarah and Steven Cooper (9th - 16th October 2021)
"
Thank you for a wonderful week in your lovely cottage - it's been very cosy and comfortable. Views from the sitting room are amazing - ever changing skies and seascapes. We've visited some of our favourite places this week - Acheninver, Reiff, Culnacraig, Stac Pollaidh and Achnahaird, not forgetting a trip to Ullapool to stock up on books!"

The Jameson Family (3rd to 10th July 2021)
"
Last Evening of a fabulous week. Sitting in the baking sunshine on the patio looking beyond the lovely garden to the Summer Isles and beyond. Mellon Udrigle glistens in the distance and Lewis on the far horizon. It is like a painting and takes your breath away.
The cottage is so good we are already planning to be back next summer. It is beautifully appointed with everything you need and the most comfortable beds...lie ins essential!!
Mum and Dad have walked to beaches and rocky coves and seen so many species of birds we have lost count. The boys with their own transport have had many adventures although the low cloud put a lot of planned hill climbs off. They did manage a sprint up Stac Pollaidh.
Come prepared with a range of clothing. The weather can change by the minute and paths get boggy.
If you like exploring and are up for an adventure in all weathers this is the place to be.
Cannot praise the area and the cottage enough. We have had a fabulous time and can't wait to be back."

Richard and Jan (15th - 22nd May 2021)
"We had the most wonderful restoring week in this beautiful cottage with its stunning views. Touring around the peninsula and beyond we were wowed by the spectacular scenery and the gorgeous white sand beaches. Also enjoyed just gazing at the islands, watching the red deer, listening to the cuckoos, and watching the sheep with their lambs nestle against the ruins each evening as the sunset unfolded. I often say I will return but then never do - this time the first thing I did back home was book a return visit for next year. Can't wait!"

Ruth Mitchell and Family (31st August - 7th September 2019)
"A lovely cottage, we really enjoyed our stay, thank you, despite the mixed weather! Fantastic views from the cottage which we have loved watching come & go through the clouds. Great sunsets..."

Ingrid & Frank McEnaney (17th - 31st August 2019)
"We have enjoyed our fortnight of relaxation. Diabaig is a beautiful place to stay. We enjoyed the stunning scenery, explored the local area, watched the wildlife come and go, the ferry and the odd cruise ship pass by. We leave with batteries recharged, happy memories, a picture in our minds of this most beautiful and impressive part of Scotland and a wish to return one day.."

Teresa Thorogood (10th - 17th August 2019)

Sun was cracking the flags when we arrived on Saturday, just as, or should I say better than the photos on line, I was amazed at the stunning views whilst sat on the patio with a pink gin & lemonade. The cottage is lovely & we all instantly felt at home...a fantastic holiday, love this cottage and area."

The Findlay Family (27th July - 3rd August 2019)

Adventures: Garvie Bay - great test of the waterproofness of footwear...mine failed! But a gorgeous tranquil beach...Postie's Path - not to be attempted if you're not sure footed or good with heights! Saw one of the local eagles - much excitement! We hope you all love this place as much as we do. Till next time...."

Be back soon!"

“We had a great time, a fabulous stay. The location is sumptuous and your cottage is very lovely.
We had plenty of short walks; we especially enjoyed the walk to Garvie bay.
Last year in June 2015, we toured through the Highlands and the Isles: Mull, Skye and Harris. We ended in Coigach peninsula and walked in Polglass to the Broch. It was so beautiful…I put a stone on the pile on the beach and I thought that I would like to come back and spend some days in this place. I took pictures and after having rented your cottage, I realized it was on some of my pictures. This is my story.
Thank you to have made it possible; it was much more…than expected!”
